Pete Doherty will come with Babyshambles and new album
Babyshambles is a British indie rock band from London. The band was founded by Pete Doherty next to his functioning in The Libertines, but Babyshambles soon became his main project. Babyshambles find their inspiration in punk and ska, released two albums, one EP and many singles. In 2003 Pete Doherty had to leave The Libertines, until he had his drug and alcohol addiction under control. He reacted to it by founding other bands, with a member from The Libertines -vsinger Steve Bedlowa. The first single “Babyshambles” was released in 2004 on High Society Records label. Jimmy Eat World will present new album Damage
The American rock band Jimmy Eat World released this week their 8th album with the name Damage. It is like a little present for their 20th anniversary and during their European tour they also stop on 22nd of June in the LMB. The album Damage was recorded in October 2012 with producer Alain Johannes (Mark Lanegan, Quenns of the Stone Age, Chris Cornell, No Doubt) in Los Angeles. “We used tape for the first time in a long time, as well as computer. Jamaican reggae sensation Chronixx will arrive to Prague!
For some people it is like a dream comes true: on Thursday, 8th of August, one of the biggest talents of the Jamaican scene is coming to Prague! He has no gangster image, but is seen more as a follower of Bob Marley himself. Chronixx (Jamar Rolando McNaughton) is only 21 years old, but because of his father, a musician, surrounded by music from a very young age. His father recognized his talents and nurtured him in an environment in which he could grow into whatever area of music he chose. Benefit for the Jazz Dock “above water” on June 11th!
Musicians of the Czech scene are giving a benefit concert “Jazz Dock above water” for the club JAZZ DOCK on Tuesday, 11th of June in the LMB. This event was organized spontaneous, after the club was flooded last weekend. The artists are giving their fee directly to the club, which is after the water in need of a full reconstruction. White Lies with new album on 17th of November!
White Lies have announced details of their 3rd album. BIG TV will be released through Fiction Records on Monday August 12th 2013. The 12-track album was produced by Ed Buller, mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent and recorded early 2013 at the ICP studios in Brussels, BELGIUM. The album will be preceded by the release of a single, There Goes Our Love Again, on Monday August 5th. Tom Odell, winner of the Brits Critics’ Choice Award, coming in November!
Tom Odell, singer and songwriter, who won the Critics Choice at this years BRIT Awards, is releasing on 24th of June is first album called “Long Way Down”. On this album are also songs like “Another Love” and the new single “Hold Me”. Speaking about the album, Odell said in a statement: “I hope the album feels human and real and that there are some flaws – because the flaws help make it what it is. Really, I’d love to live in a time when music felt uncontrived and imperfect and gave people a real sense of elevation. When it’s sad I want it to be really sad. New Model Army will arrive on 13th of October!
The word “legend” sounds so heavy and serious, totally the opposite of what New Model Army in fact is. But is there another word to describe them? Not many bands can look back at 30 years on stage, with fans in many generations, like the quartet from England can do. This year they release their 12th Studio album – “Between Dog and Wolf”.
